It’s a slight chill in the air with heavy filled foggy mornings that beckon me outside to enjoy the crisp crunch of the already fallen brown leaves from the tall Walnut tree in the front yard. Goldenrod stands tall across the street and the big leaves of the Maple are just starting to fade from their vibrant green colors. The stores are filling with mums and pumpkins in all sizes and colors and the apple trees are loaded with plenty for all. Fall must be near.
I always look forward to the beginning of fall which seems to be signaled by colorful leaves, crisp air and a bountiful harvest of apples and pumpkins. I anxiously await for the stores to stock the pumpkins and mums so that I can begin to add a little bit of fall to the exterior of our home. Grab a cup of coffee and join me as I show where you I take a moment to enjoy the beauty of each morning.
We recently had the entire exterior of our home redone and in order to do so we had to remove our large front deck. We haven’t had the time to put the deck back up but we do have some stairs that I was able to sit a few buckets filled with mums and white pumpkins on.
The weather has not gotten cool enough to kill all the perennials around here so I left the long green trailing ivy and simply added some mums for color.
I added simple touches around the potting shed by adding a haybale, mums and some more pumpkins. On the door of my shed I hung the very simple gathered wildflower wreath that I made.
I have teamed up with several other amazing bloggers who are also sharing their home porch tours so please be sure to stop by and see their beautiful spaces.
