Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 ½ to 3 cups whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Use a spatula to break it into small pieces. Cook until it’s fully browned and no pink remains. Do not drain the grease.
  • Sprinkle flour evenly over the cooked beef. Stir it in until the flour is mixed well into the meat.
  • Pour 2 ½ cups of whole milk into the skillet slowly, stirring constantly.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well.
  • Turn the heat to medium and continue stirring. The gravy will start to thicken after a few minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If you want a thinner gravy, add a little more milk until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Spoon your delicious hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes, wide egg noodles, homemade biscuits, or breakfast potatoes.
