Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, maple syrup, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • Using a hand mixer, blend the ingredients until smooth and fluffy.
  • If the frosting is too thick, add a splash of milk or cream. If it’s too thin, add more powdered sugar to reach your desired consistency.

Notes

  • Softened Cream Cheese: Use softened cream cheese for a smooth and creamy texture. This helps it blend easily with the other ingredients.
  • Salted Butter: If using salted butter, omit the additional salt.
  • Thinning the Frosting: For a smoother consistency, add 1-2 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk to thin the frosting to your desired texture.
  • Storage: Any leftover frosting can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Large Batch: This frosting makes a large batch, you can easily cut the recipe in half to suit your needs
