The first time I made this recipe, I didn’t tell my husband nor did I tell my children. I poured it into a jar and placed in the fridge. In fact, I placed it behind a few things so that maybe no-one would find it. But they did and then it didn’t last long at all.
In fact, I began to see evidence of someone scooping it out of the jar and eating it by the spoonful. It’s seriously that good, and I must admit that I have done the same thing a few times when I needed an immediate chocolate fix.

Homemade Low-Carb | Sugar Free Chocolate Sauce Recipe
How to Make Homemade Chocolate Sauce
Using a scale, weigh out 3 ounces of sugar-free chocolate chips.
Then, in a saucepan combine the butter and chocolate chips over low heat. Stir constantly until both of the ingredients have melted.
Remove the saucepan from the heat, stir in the xylitol to form a thick mixture.
Then, measure out 6 ounces of heavy whipping cream on the scale. Slowly add the heavy whipping cream to the chocolate mixture. Stir well until everything is combined.
Return the saucepan to the stove and cook over low heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, add vanilla and almond extract.
Cool to room temperature.
Store in glass jar in the refrigerator.
Low Carb Sweeteners
You can use whatever low-carb sweetener that you choose or if you aren’t low-carb, sugar-free, then you could even use real sugar. I have only used Birchbark Xylitol to make this recipe so I know it works good in this recipe and we don’t notice any kind of an aftertaste.
