Easy Homemade Window Cleaner

Toxins lurk in our homes and one of the first places you will find them is in your household cleaners. This simple recipe for homemade window cleaner will have you ditching the toxins quickly, and put you one step closer to creating a toxin-free home.

I have been on a mission for quite some time to take the toxins out of our home and to create my own cleaners. When creating your own cleaners, you know exactly what is them and to me that is important. Our skin is our largest organ and guess what? Whatever you put on your skin is quickly absorbed into your body!

This recipe takes just three simple ingredients. They may be ingredients that you already have in your home but if not, I would encourage you to get them. They are useful for more than just this one recipe.

This recipe for a simple, non-toxic, no streak window cleaner will come together so quickly. It is cheap to make and works like a charm. Want to know my other secret for no streak windows? Ditch the paper towels. Seriously, ditch the paper towels. I use newspapers that I get in the mail. Crumple them up and then start wiping the windows. I have been doing this for a long time and our windows are streak free! Just give it a try!

No Streak Homemade Window Cleaner

3/4 cup white vinegar
1 1/4 cup distilled water
4 drops fresh citrus oil
16 oz glass spray bottle – amber colored
label maker

Using a funnel, pour the white vinegar, distilled water, and the fresh citrus oil into the glass bottle. Shake well before each use.

Simple, right? It is, and the best part is that it works incredibly well. No toxins, simple to make and saves a lot of money. Those are all winning elements in my home.

  1. I’ve been making my own products for over 5 years. Laundry soap to all my cleaning products. I like knowing its all organic and no chemicals involved. I started making a organic home getting out plastic , rugs bedding , years ago. I have too people with Asthma and this has really helped. People would be surprised at what’s in there home. And all you need is a few products and some glass bottles. Happy cleaning Debbie
